eVendlab is THE event for e-commerce businesses. It brings together key decision makers from businesses selling products online, on their own websites or on marketplaces like Amazon. We put you in the same room, apply just a little structure, and then let the magic happen. It’s about learning from each other, from people who have met and solved the same problems as you.
The format is unlike any conference you have attended before.
In an Unconference:
There are NO scheduled talks
YOU determine the agenda
You work on and discuss what YOU want – with people who are interested in the same thing
Unconferences are unique. There is no set plan or agenda or yawnathon keynote speeches. In fact, participants have complete control over what is discussed and who discusses it. It might sound a little scary but it’s a great way to bring together brand owners, learn from each other, grapple with challenges together, and make lasting connections.
Here is how an unconference works in practice. It will stand out from any other conference you have attended:

An agenda by the people, for the people
At the start of the day, every eVendlab attendee will have an opportunity to propose a session topic.
You don’t have to, but this is your opportunity to have a discussion about a challenge you are facing, an area you want to enter or something you are just curious about.
Everyone votes on the proposed ideas and the sessions that receive the most interest will be allocated a time slot on the agenda.

Participant-led sessions
Although there will likely be some sessions proposed in the morning that have been planned in advance, most sessions will be proposed without a pre-planned structure or expectation.
This offers a great opportunity to chat about new ideas or challenges you face with peers across the e-commerce sector.

A dynamic experience
During the day there will likely be a lot of moving about. This is because one of the principles of unconference is the “Law of Two Feet”.
This means that if a session doesn’t inspire attendees and they are not contributing, they should get up and find a different one. Since there will be multiple sessions running at the same time, participants will be able to move freely through different spaces.
Faces will change and room dynamics will shift, but with this comes new energy and insights to each session.
Who is Evendlab for?
At its simplest, eVendlab is for people who sell stuff online, or who want to. The people who will get the most out of it are senior decision makers – MDs, CEOs, E-commerce directors – of businesses who are either selling or who would like to sell online. We vet participants, so you won’t be wasting time with hobbyists or bedroom sellers. There are no sales pitches disguised as speeches, and although our sponsors will participate in events, they don’t set the agenda – you do!
The event is for people who are curious and willing to learn and to help others, to dig into issues from a wide range of perspectives, and to find new ways to sell more and make their online businesses better.
